A lot of us have been there....
This worked for me:
1. Draw, keeping your thumb in FRONT of the trigger (DO NOT move that thumb - it'll be hard at first)
2. Do NOT aim
3. Do not look thru the peep
4. Hold for 10-20 secs and let down - Do NOT shoot
5. Repeat several times
6. Do steps 1-4...
That's a screamin' deal for pants with a lot of features. I'm trying to justify why I need them or when I'd even wear them. They're too warm for WA early season and not waterproof enough for late season.
I think Kuiu rain gear is tough to beat. Too bad you missed their sale recently. I have the Yukon (non-TR version) and am very happy with it. Besides being very good at it's primary job (keeping you dry), I LOVE all the pockets. For short hunts, I'll stuff the pockets with essential gear and...
Once I installed gauges, it was shocking to see how quickly the tranny temps climbed under load (hill climbs). Installing the 6.0L cooler will keep the temps very stable.
Gauges for engine and trans temps will save your motor and trans IMO. Without them I'd have overheated both on numerous...
2001 F350 is at 240K.
If you tow, definitely recommend changing the transmission cooler. The stock cooler in the 7.3L is tiny and you'll overheat the transmission very easily. A 6.0L cooler works great. Lots of write-ups/videos on how to do this yourself.
Seems right; Sig isn't perfect and deserves some negative press at times, but it's blown way out of proportion IMO. Generally by one crowd in particular....
The material in the Zion's is hard to beat - lightweight and very stretchy - but the lack of pockets/poor pocket design make them unusable for me.
The Kuiu Kutana is my current favorite, but they're not perfect either. I think they're advertised as stretchy, but it's minimal and they seem to...
This is my biggest concern with replaceable blades - guys who flick their used blades into the brush without a second thought about who or what might be stabbed. Likely they are the same a**holes who will hunt right on top of you because "public land, man."
I had NO intention of getting dragged into this knife discussion, yet couldn't resist boarding the "research" plane which wasted no time leaving leaving the terminal....we've been flying for hours now.
A few that caught my eye:
Argali Serac
ESSE Xancudo
ESSE-3 S35V
I'm sure there are valid arguments for this, but it just feels like everything is too hard these days.
It's too hard for kids to get up (they want to play video games until 2am instead).
It's too hard to teach kids because everyone learns differently (somehow other generations managed with...
I have a K3 4800 in Fusion with the upgraded lumbar kit. It's essentially new. Bought it after hunting season last year and only used it 3 times this year. Let me know if you're interested.
I think this question - like all gear questions - really has no right answer.
If you go for value, you might be really impressed with how good the items is for the price you paid. BUT, you'll always wonder "is there something better?"
If you go expensive, you'll be expecting it to deliver...
