I have a scope cover for a Kowa TSN 553 (angled). Used in good condition, I decided to go with a neoprene cover. Asking $40 TYD.

You are 100% correct. What are your thoughts on linesmans spikes? Assuming it is legal for the land you are hunting. I think the SRT is probably the safest route, but for those tree that dont have access to good limbs, might be an option over sticks...
I think I would go for cover vs concealment. I've never tried spray painting clothes, but i would be concerned with the paint affecting the water resistance, breathability, and durability of the material.

Fritos have one of the highest calorie to weight ratios out there.
Get a bag of chips and smash the crap of them until they fit in a 1qt bag. You can fit a lot of chips in a small area once you smash them, and the salty, crunchy fat is awesome at the end of a long day.

I camel up in the morning before leaving the truck/camp, and usually get through most of the day on my 1L. However, the Sawyer squeeze weighs so little that I cant see why I wouldnt carry it and top off my 1L everytime I cross a stream.
The life straw works in a pinch as well, but not as easy...
