    I have the sirui VA-5. It is incredibly smooth. I run everything on it, 10x42, 15x56s, BTX with 95mm and my AR10. It does a great job of stabilizing heavier optics at steep angles without the tilt needing to be fully locked down. The "sweet spot" isn't a finite adjustment like some other heads...

    Thanks for the quick response Chas. I found a local club and will pursue my license and membership through them. I also found out that my uncle in Lake Havasu has his HAM license so I can glean off of his knowledge. HAM really seems like an unappreciated tool for hunters. Thanks, Riley

    Creepy experiences in the backcountry

    Years ago, while hunting in rural San Diego, a friends dad found a woman who had hung herself. He found her 3-4 days after she had been reported missing. Apparently he smelled decomposition and then found her. He called the sheriff and walked them to the scene.
