My advice, if you can swing it, is to move to Laramie or Fort Collins. MUCH nicer towns IMO. And I know people who’ve made those commutes so it can done if your job will allow it

Depending on where you’re hunting the Sheridan area has a few things. Little Bighorn and Fort Phil Kearny (where the Fetterman massacre occurred) are both very interesting.
Not historical, but the weatherby factory is also in Sheridan.

i have the 400 insulated kenetreks. They’re good boots and I never regretted getting the lightly insulated version.
Only thing about them is the outer sole is extremely hard and stiff, and actually makes climbing on rocks difficult.

It blows my mind that, back in “the day”, you could get a good job in a factory, work 40hrs a week, support a family, buy a small house, afford a car, and live your life. ALL ON ONE INCOME. I know because that’s what everyone in my family did and they weren’t Union.

One thing I see a lot is people who love the work, then try to start their own business around the work. They quickly realize that very different skills are required for those two tasks
