That's really good to see. How far did he go after the shot and did you need a finisher? I'm having a 24" X-caliber barrel installed on a 700 as we speak and I can't wait to start load development. I'm hoping I can get 24-2500 FPS with 160s but we'll see.

I'd like to try an Alpha Wolf with the sure grip so looking for a gently used one. Not too worried about the steel. Either are good for my application. I have cash and might have some trade bait also.
Thanks everyone. I bought a couple dozen at a good price so if I can't get them out I'll play with point weight first to see if I can get them to fly. If I have to cut them I should have enough left over to work with (27" draw).
A 64" bow will be fine at 31 inches. I have a friend with a 33" draw that shoots a 64" RER with no problem. As far as weight, figure 3# per inch over 28" so that should put you around 54# @ 31.
All strings will stretch some. B50 is probably the worst. when I make a string it's not unusual to have to play with the brace 5-10 times as you shoot it in. Luckily all it usually takes is a couple twists. And yes, Brace height can make a big difference on some bows
