What about scope caps?

cheapo butler creeks all the way. pretty quick but sometimes get caught on stuff when open.

Are you a list kind of guy?

from my own experience i tend to overpack.. so I whipped up a fairly short list of the essentials and just build on it as necessary. keeps myself accountable and with less deadweight in the end

Cheap Stuff that Works

been said many times, but a cheap stove and pot set. even better that it all fits into the pot and packs away super nicely along with the canister. Also headlamp- cheap and a little goofy looking but super underrated.

Budget combination sleeping pad/mat?

Currently looking for a more budget-minded combination of sleeping pad and bag. Been looking at a few brands but haven't quite figured it out yet. Neither have to be rated for super low temps (lowest probably 0), and preferably able to be stowed/carried minimally.

Everyone ready for lockdown 2.0?

considering my area has some of the longest lockdown measures anywhere, i feel somewhat used to it sadly. nice that we're finally opening back up though. just in time to miss a good portion of the summer hahah.

covering a muzzle break in the field

for what it's worth, you could probably use some cheap airsoft/paintball barrel sock, given that they usually have retention and stow easily
