In a long action the NX8 probably won't be long enough. In a short, it's close. NX8 is really best mounted in a set of pic rail rings from our experience.
Some of the Zeiss scopes are pretty short and that makes them hard to use with the Hybrids. That and the NX8.
Pic rail and some Ultra Light Tactical rings are the ticket in those situations.
We talk to a lot of folks daily about ring height. One of the best things to do before ordering the...
Not at this time. The Defiance XM has different hole spacing and a different feed ramp than the Lone Peak, Stiller, and new Zermatt Mediums. We are working on getting the Hunter line out for those 3 first. No concrete plans for the Defiance at this time.
This is the correct way to install the Short Actions. The Long Actions are flipped to allow folks to get more back and forth to set up eye relief. The short actions are opposite of the longs, you're good to go.
When anyone is installing Hybrids rings, just follow the directions and make sure...
We are working on the first prototype now. They will be ready in Q1, but I do not have a solid date as of yet. Currently testing how the other popular standard bolt face LA calibers feed in them. 284 WIN and 280 AI are working great though!
The magazines sit about as flush as a M5 Oberndorf actually. We are working on the 280AI/284 WIN magazines right now. The 300 PRC version would not work well as the feed lips are wider for the fatter cartridge. We'll have more details when those new magazines are available.
We've been getting a fair number of calls and emails about the Hunter DBM and Hunter Magazine system as hunters get off the mountains and look to 2022. So we had our guy Nick fire up the camera and go over some of the features and specs of both. If you have any questions please let us know...
Rusty - I would use the Ultra Light Tactical rings with a rail. You could go with a Low or Medium with the Mesa and the steel barrel. If it were a Carbon heavy barrel you probably would need medium.

The two best options would be the standard LA M5 DBM, or the CIP+. The differences are the LA 300 WM DBM uses AICS 0479 magazines, and the CIP+ uses 3.850" Accurate or MDT magazines. The CIP+ Accurate mags do have a 300WM option if you want to run added COAL. Depends on your reamer spec. SAAMI...
You can use Hawkins Precision Long Range Hybrids for Remington 700s on the B14s. Great option with 25 MOA built in. If you want to run a pic rail the Ultra-Light Tactical rings are a great choice. Let us know how we can help.
Hawkins Precision is proud to announce the release of our Long Action Hunter DBM and Long Action Flush Hunter Magazine.
The Hunter Detachable Box Magazine (DBM) bottom metal is designed for shooters that are looking for a flush bottom metal that will accept flush magazines. The bottom metal...
We have been sending people to Chris for more than a year and not a single customer has come back and been dissatisfied. Long Range Customs does great work if you'd like Hybrids.
Otherwise the lows for the 3.6-18x44 or the Med for the 5-25x56 would be the lowest option that works.
