Selling my spotter, I have babied this thing like crazy and included pictures of the only dings it has. No issues with it at all just decided to upgrade to the modular system. Let me know if your interested or want any more pictures. Asking $2,100 shipped!
Thanks @mntnguide and @burrohiker that is some super helpful feedback! I’ve been looking at the MRG’s this morning and I’m definitely going to go with pack lites or their standard panniers and just buy a plastic insert separate.
The only option that I liked about the trail max was the ability to have the hard insert. Maybe that’s not as useful as it seems it would be? Not having used them before I thought that might be a “nice to have” feature.
Any of you guys know of a store that might have a sale at some point with the trail max saddle panniers? I was watching a couple places over the holidays but didn’t ever see any sales come up. Just wondering if I should bite the bullet and pay full price or keep waiting.
Thanks!
I 100% agree with all the horse safety comments. Most the time after a 2-3 hour ride my horses still won’t drink water when led to it. To ride in one day, pack 10 gallons or so for 2 horses, and ride back out the next day does not seem like a stretch to me. I just wasn’t sure of the best way to...
There is a spot I’ve been wanting to try, the problem is I can’t find water within 4 miles. It is not a super strenuous ride but not something I want to do every morning and night. My thought was for my conditioning ride this weekend I pack in some water. Then when the hunt comes around I could...
Have any of you packed water in for your horses for a later hunt? How would you do it? My initial thought was 5 gallon buckets but I worry those would push on their ribs too much in a pannier. 1 gal jugs maybe? Some sort of soft bladder??
Thanks
I wanted to buy some halters and their scout package but couldn’t find their website. Messaged them on IG a while ago and no response. I was really looking forward to trying their stuff out.
Like many have said camp from your truck, hike/glass all day, and spend as many days on the mountain as your school schedule will let you and you'll have a blast. It's a great unit obviously and if you spend some time getting off the road you will most likely luck into a decent buck.
That one was a wild ride! Bought and sold it a couple of times. Tried buying at the opening of premarket and Webull wouldn't let me for some reason. I think the next time I bought it was already at like $25! Made for a fun week
I’ve been watching this thread now and then, but not religiously. Curious if any of you make a living off of trading? I know it’s not all sunshine and roses, but seems like it would be a perfect career if you liked to take time off for hunting and were ok not watching positions in the market for...
So far the replies are about what I expected... unfortunately ha ha
What my ideal situation would be is to have an income for 9-10 months of the year, and for the fall months to be able to hunt for myself and guide for 4-5 weeks. I guess if I find that job it’s the golden ticket! If anyone has...
Hey everyone,
I’m interested to hear of you or anyone you know that has been able to “make a living” out of guiding that a wife and kids would be ok with. Particularly what you do during the off season to help with income. I know several guides, but not very many that sound like it is something...
