I have been using propel packs for years. I think I have stuck with it bc it's cheap and you can buy it anywhere. Starting to wonder if it's time to expand my horizons and try something more modern.
Anyone have thoughts or data on propel vs all this new stuff?

I shipped the rifle back to CA by UPS 2nd Day Air (pre-paid by CA) on Saturday.
CA received the rifle Tuesday
CA contacted me this am (Thursday) to say work is complete, rifle is boxed up and will ship back to me today.

I bought SF about 6 months ago. Took 2 or 3 training hikes to get used to them. Now, no looking back. I pulled Superfeet out of my other boots and rotate the SF into whatever I’m wearing. Expensive but worth it.
I have been running Leupold alpine CF425. Pretty close to what you are looking for out of the box: 2.0 lb, arca, ball head VS pan.
Works really well sitting and you can leave the center column behind. Heavy spotter or high winds it gets shaky.

I was surprised when my LT did not include a water sleeve. I called Kuiu. They recommend using the large zip dry bag. Tried it, actually works pretty well.

Ditto. I’ve been hunting in leather Crispi guides fir years. They have held up. Just bought the new Briksdal Mtn GTX synthetics. Mostly bc they are significantly lighter and hopefully faster drying. If they don’t work out, I will have the guide to fall back on.
I get it. I’m hoping this is a setup to under promise & over deliver. Also recognize they likely have other rifles in the queue.
