I’m currently going through this same scenario with Cabela’s on my 1st gen Euro HD 15x56s (Meopta B1). Right barrel stopped focusing. I sent them in and after 5 weeks they finally get back to me by email saying that since I don’t have the original proof of purchase they will give me a gift...
oh, got it. This is just for a bino adapter with quick release. I already have the Outdoorsmans bono adapter. I’m looking for a way to attach binos and spotter to the same tripod at the same time. I’ll probably try willfrye’s suggestion.
Thanks
I thought there would be more when searching but only finding the Outdoorsmans Dual Mount which is not in my budget. Hoping to find something under $200.
Who is running both on the same tripod and how? Do you recommend it? Need to stay light for back packing.
I have a Mystery Ranch Mule bag only for a Guide Light or Nice frame in Foilage color (drab green/grey) in good condition. I used it twice on day scouting trips. It's a great bag but my frame is Coyote Brown and I want one to match. It will take a buckle conversion kit ($26 from MR) to fit...
I've been toying with this idea for months. because I don't like carrying a bunch of optics on my chest. It doesn't seem efficient and I rarely use my chest binos.
I originally bought a used Swaro range finder which is 8x but it didn't do angle compensation. I went with the next highest...
I’ve opted to ditch my chest binos and only use my 7x rangefinder for short distance scanning in thick timber. I’ll let everyone know how it worked for me at the end of the season.
Thanks for the replies. It doesn't help that the elk rut is starting up at the tail end of this deer hunt. I find that usually the bulls push the deer out when they start getting horny.
I got drawn for this hunt 8/21-9/10. Never been to Unit 1 but have taken a nice 160” mule deer in neighboring unit 27. There were 125 tags for this early season archery hunt and the unit is known more for trophy elk. Anyone here have any experience with mule deer in the unit? I’m looking at...
My friend has taken 2 nice bulls in unit 10 and he always sees 150”+ mule deer when looking for elk. Go figure. He said he’s seen a 200”er as well. He highly recommends buying the pass onto the Big Boquillas Ranch.
I know this was about elk but I'm curious on this topic for mule deer.
I listened to a Jay Scott Outdoors podcast with Randy Ulmer and he said he only uses his 95mm Swaro for glassing.
Maybe he's an exception when it comes to glassing but he must be doing something right. I'd be curious to...
Looking to trade a NIB Stan Xtinction 1 (tried on on & fired a few shots only) for a newer Spot Hogg Wiseguy.
The release shoots great but need something with a more minimalistic wrist strap. The Stan’s is a bit too bulky for my pencil wrists.
