    300 wsm load development

    Mine shot well with 71.5 gr. of the older H1000 (2850) but not the newer. it also shot well with 62.5 H4350 and H100v (200 gr. eldx 22" barrel). I chose H100v because it was more available and cheaper.

    What load did you come up with? Details please. I’m using H100v 62.5 grains 200 gr. Eldx Norma brass federal 215’s 3.20” COL @ 2850 from a 22” barrel. I tried H4350,H4831sc,H1000,H100v and N560. H100, H4350 and H100v were the most accurate and fastest.

    It's Norma brass from bondstrike ammo. I'll measure when I get a chance. I changed H1000 lots but I shot the 71.0 with the new lot the before I tried 71.5 with no issue. After I had pressure I dropped back to 71.0 and pressure there so I ended there. I'm going to try once fired non annealed...

    I annealed the brass after the second and third firing. It's a new barrel with 170 rounds shot through it. I'll probably switch to H4350 since it's more available and I only have 1&1/2 lbs of H1000.

    The reason I opted to find a load with H1000 was I had more velocity with it than H4350,H4831SC or N560 with 200 grain eldx. I’m curious why I’m seeing pressure with the 71.0 gr. now when I didn’t originally.

    I shot H1000 again with the 200 grain eldx this time I tried 71.5 grains and got heavy bolt lift, ejector marks and a couple of blown primers.
