I have a Remington 700 .223 ADL that I was going to buy a stock for. I seen a Carbon fiber hunting stock at Stockys that only weighs 23 ounces.
Im not sure if that would be too light or not
Was wondering what the general consensus is on here for a hunting stock weight?
I've never had a problem shooting game with them. I think sometimes bullets don't act the same when you hit smaller animals like coyotes.
I also noticed a lot of loaded Sierra ammo on the shelves here but not a whole lot of bullets
I know ambient temp matters a lot but the temp of the powder may matter just as much. I'm not sure if ammo kept in a cooler that is 30 degrees will shoot the same as the ambient temp being 30 degrees though. Plenty of things on the net to read but I've never read of anybody testing it both ways...
Euro Optic has the Vortex DiamondBack HP 3-12x42 on clearance for $169. They have Razor glass with a 1" tube. It's a definite upgrade from the regular Diamondback. Midway had the 4-16 on clearance for 199. Not sure if they still do. Well worth it
