    AR hunters out there?

I hunt exclusively with AR's and have harvested elk, mule deer and pronghorn with small and large frame guns. This Wyoming elk was taken with a 7VAR (small frame) shooting 140 grain Accubonds at 2,640 FPS. Distance was 240 yards. Same cartridge but shooting 140 Ballistic Tips took this mulie...

    Where are the Nosler bullets?

The B-Tips shoot pretty close to the Accubonds. In the 140G 7MM Nosler shows the same .485 BC for both bullets but the Accubonds are slightly longer. As was mentioned earlier in this thread the B-T's are good performers on game. Years back Nosler toughened the B-T's up so the old "blows up on...

    Where are the Nosler bullets?

Here's some 120 B-T's in stock https://redriverreloading.com/reloading/bullets-for-reloading.html?mfp=16f-bullet-diameter[560],manufacturers[33] They had 140 B-T's several months ago so I snagged 500 of them

    6.5 Grendel Hunting Bullet

Welcome to the forum Beamonk I've worked up loads with the 100 & 120 TTSX's and found them both to be accurate in my AR. I've always gotten good accuracy and performance on game with the Nosler B-Tips (and I have a pretty good supply) so I stick with them. Don't have experience to offer with...

    7mm-08 for elk

I think you would be fine to 500 yards. I shot a bull with my wildcat AR15 chambered in 7MM Valkyrie. I was shooting 7MM 140G Accubonds with a muzzle velocity of 2,650 (20" barrel). Impact velocity was ~2,200 FPS at 240 yards. With my 7VAR calculations show the bullet would still be 1,800 FPS...

    6.5 Grendel Hunting Bullet

Not whitetail but I've had good success with Nosler 120 B-Tips on two mule deer and one antelope with exits on all three.

    Gaitors!

Cant help as I have the opposite problem. My Kenetrek gaiters don't come far enough up my calves to want to stay up.

    6.5 Grendel

Have not killed any critters at long range with my Grendel (20" bbl AR). Two mule deer and one pronghorn all at under 300 yards with 120 grain ballistic tips were quite impressed with it. Several coyotes as well. No doubt it would perform well at longer ranges assuming the velocity was within...

Looking for advice on my 1st spotting scope

Update. I ordered a 15x56 SLC with tripod adapter and will pick up a window mount tomorrow. I used a friends Swaro spotter (pretty old model, not HD) in Wyoming last month and thought I would try something diffferent. The mulies are rutting hard here in central Oregon right and I'm excited to...
