Mile High and RRS both have the bare scout heads in stock if anyone is looking. I just picked up the bare head and a separate SC-Arc adapter from Mile High today.
If you are thinking ridge grapplers but were happy with the Toyo MT’s, the Toyo RT trail is worth a look. I headed down this same rabbit hole this year. I am super pleased with them so far. After years of running MT’s these are very well mannered on the pavement and have done super well on gravel.
My brother and I killed a lot of grouse before we were old enough to hunt big game, but these were generally during hunting season tagging along with Dad deer hunting. Never specifically targeted small game. It was always fishing until deer season opened.
1. N570 and good brass such as ADG and Lapua.
2. Somewhere between 0 and .060 off for Berger Hybrids and ELDM's
3. I would expect at least 1 MOA accuracy out to 1000 yards, or I would be tweaking something personally.
I have always gone from the tail to the neck down the backbone, skinned down, removed rear, front, BS, then neck meat in that order- have seen mixed results depending on how good of a spot they expire in.
I watched a elk 101 video the other day where he started on the inside of the front leg and...
We have them both at work. IMO Polaris for quiet and creature comforts, can am if you’re looking for bomb proof. We run them hard and the rangers are at the dealership more often.
Polaris = Chevy
Can Am = Ford
My 2 cents- your mileage may vary
I've been an ocean puker since I was a kid. I live near the coast and have never been able to shake it. I can last awhile but ask me to bait a hook and I'm done. Never had a problem flying even in rough small planes. Dramamine and RX stuff = sleepy, and puking. I have tried everything known to...
Lucky enough to have one of the best bow shops there is 15 minutes from me. I don't touch anything on my bows. Just went in a couple weeks ago and shot one through paper and had the timing checked for shits. Everything was perfect. In and out in 5 minutes.
Call me a prepper, but having the know-how, gear and components to roll your own for a long while if shit hits the fan again is part of the appeal. I refuse to buy/build a rifle I don’t have all the components on hand first to toast the barrel.
That being said, I just built a 6CM with the hope...
The shaft looks like it is chromed. Assuming some type of rope packing or seal surface. After looking at it a few more times, I’m going to say a plunger for a piston pump that handled material; grout, bentonite, invert, etc.
I don't believe it's been mentioned yet, but venting the quarters through the thickest part to the bone will help get heat out and prolong bone sour if high temps are expected.
