We saw several bears around Coopers Landing last year. I know there were a few attacks as well. I would call a few fishing guides in that area. They should be in the know.
I’ve heard there are some out there at various outdoor shops in limited quantities. With that said, if you are in the market, I’d call and get a down payment on them. Cameraland is great to work with.
You are good. I open my binocs as wide as possible when I install the headrest. I leave mine on most of the time unless I’m in a treestand. Those 12’s are great!
No tool needed to change shims. We are waiting for our kits to come in, along with pricing. I think they should have included the kits with the bow. They don’t cost that much.
The medium would benefit from a cover that accommodated the head rest. I’m ok with what I did. I stretched it out and broke it in. Not sure how many Marsupial would sell to make it worthwhile.
You need to order a set from a Mathews dealer. Limbs will more then likely be black. Check the cam and idler for damage as well. Depending on the type of dry fire, they, too, may often be bent or stressed. Hopefully this did not happen. Good luck.
I grab my 12’s now for everything. 8’s work great in the woods, but with my 12’s being damn near the same size, they are by my side where ever I go. With a tripod, my spotter stays at home unless I’m glassing very large fields or vast, open areas. To each their own.
I have the 12’s and the medium Marsupial. I packed the harness to stretch it out and it seems to work fine with the headrest. The small worked well without the headrest, but was not going to work with it. Hope this helps.
I think it‘s about right....much better than the small for sure. I’m stretching it out a little for the headrest. i have not tried the large with the headrest. I’m thinking it would be too big for the binocs alone. The headrest adds a whole new dimension.
In the small Marsupial, definitely not working. In the medium, it’s a little tight. I’m going to stretch it out a touch and it should be ok. If purchasing a harness for 10x42 or the 12’s, I’d go medium with Marsupial. With other brands, anyone will have to cross reference. Hope it helps...
I use Marsupials. For my 12 Pure’s, I had to go a size up to a medium. The small was a little tight. The small was a bit of a struggle with one hand putting them back in. With the medium, not a problem with one hand. You can compare sizing of the bino’s across brands on their site and that...
I came across this thread and thought I’d give my experience with the 12’s. I had pair of EL 10x42 that I loved. I didn’t think they could be beat. I ordered the 12’s after talking with Neil and Doug at Cameraland - great people and I highly recommend them. I went with 12’s just because of...
I received my 12 NL’s a few weeks ago. Spectacular glass and great FOV. I have no regrets going with them over the 10’s. I‘m no more shaky with them than I am with my EL’s...and those were not that bad. The FRP headrest does help, but I will only use it for long distance glassing for long...
Yes, I have them. They work great for various shaft sizes, especially the slim 5mm‘s. For me, they are worth it. The Quivalizer system as a whole is pretty slick.
I’ve tuned several of these with the new Trinity rest. They all tuned easily. Prime did well. Like your rig. Using the Quivilizer with metal hood as well and like that over a normal stabilizer, and I saved some weight. Enjoy the set up,
