Making under quilt for Hammock

I am in the same boat as you, looking to make a diy underquilt for my hammock once it starts to cool down. I thought about going the route of modifying a sleeping bag but not sure if I would be entirely satisfied with that.

Paratarp vs. 10'x12' Silnylon Tarp

I have a DIY silnylon tarp that exact size.. Really havent had any issues. Light waterproof and stores small.

Sounds like a plan. I'm a new hunter but an experienced backpacker/outdoorsman so it would good to spend some time with more experienced people.
