Favorite Non-hunting Brand or Solid Color Pieces for Archery Whitetail

I know this thread is old at this point, but does anyone have a non hunting brand preference for windproof layers? I currently have all FL gear for western hunting but also live in iowa and am trying to start mobile archery hunting.

What's Your Non-Truck Hunting Rig?

2010 suburban 280k had a tranny around 200. Lifetime mpg according to console is 18. 3rd row removed, 2nd row folded with a tarp down to protect if youre putting in game or dirty gear. You can sleep back there, hold gear, throw seats around if you have company. I really like it for waterfowl...

Alps Packs w/ Lone Wolf Climber?

I've seen a lot of people use the suspension system to carry the stand. I've been thinking about getting a frame pack with a smaller bag. I would use the meat shelf to carry stand and sticks then use the bag for gear. I live in Iowa so usually not too far to walk either. The frame pack would...

Backpack hunting choice

A guy I hunt with walks around with a backpacking pack then keeps a bigger hauling pack at the truck/camp. He just has his kill kit in the bag then after the harvest takes care of it, puts what he can hauls it out and swaps bags.
