    338 Federal Loads

For whatever reason we couldnt get past 49 in the Tikka without pressure signs but in the Sako, everything looked totally fine. I didn't push my luck past 50 grains....

    338 Federal Loads

Best load I have ever found has been 185 TTSX with 50gr of AA2230 (this is over max and out of my Sako 85 that I worked up to). Extremely fast for the caliber and amazing accuracy. We worked up to 49.0 grains in my buddies Tikka with the 185 TTSX and not a lot of drop in velocity with similar...

    Neck sizing lube.

Hornady One Shot is great but heading to Amazon now to try this home brew - never heard of that before.

    Getting into annealing...

I have been using propane and a drill to do mine for years and all the cases look the same after with the color change going down exactly the same amount on each case. Outside of maybe a time savings advantage, has anyone who has used both the drill method and one of these cheaper machines seen...

StaBALL HD and StaBALL Match are in stock on Hodgdon site.

I just got a 280ai and was wondering if it would be worth picking up and trying given Alliant powders are so hard to find. Anyone have really good experience with StaBall in 280ai using 150/160 bullets?

    Presses

I don't think you will be disappointed with the Forster. Switched from RCBS to co-ax years ago and it has been nothing but amazing to use and get great consistency with it.

    Reloading Once Fired Norma Brass

I have also had a situation where I needed to take a very small amount off the bottom of my Redding die to get the bump after giving the brass multiple firings. Not saying that is your issue here but did have to do that on one of my calibers.

    Tikka Rebarrel Questions

What got me concerned her is my buddy is loading the 168 Sierra's in his custom 280ai and they measure 3.34" which is just off the lands. That was got me concerned about even the smaller bullets clearing the Tikka magazines.

    Tikka Rebarrel Questions

Very helpful! I plan on using 168gr bullets most likely, maybe 175. I don't think I will be going bigger than that given the 9.25 twist rate in the barrel. If using 168 Berger or Nosler, not sure what the coal would typically be and how much room I would need. Is there an option to remove a...

    Tikka Rebarrel Questions

I have found a number of posts around this topic but haven't been able to specifically address my question. I have a Sako 85 short action with a custom 7mm-08 barrel on it (24" and 9.25 twist). I have another 7-08 so want a 7mm that doesn't kick too much for hunting but has a bit more speed...
