Glassing setups
Used it on a late elk hunt. It is sturdy while standing but will move a little in heavy wind. I prefer to use it seated with the legs out wide, and in that position it is rock solid with the BTX 95- Desertstalker7

Matthews Z7 developed a limb crack
I’m still shooting a Z7 too. I would get it replaced if it were me. I’m a gear junkie but not with my bow. Every year I’ll send a kill pic to a certain friend that says “your still shooting that POS”. I say “ Yep, cause its still killing Sh*# !“- Desertstalker7

7mm-08 for elk?
Love the 7mm08 ! Built a nice accurate Tikka for my kids. 120 Ballistic tips for deer and antelope. Got a good recipe for the 140 Accubond for my daughters cow hunt a couple years ago. She shot one perfect at 300 yards. Dropped her in her tracks. That’s the only elk hunt it’s been used on…- Desertstalker7

Pack for someone with a bad back?
I can also relate. Had lower back fusion (L5 S1) in 2013. Thought my days of backpacking and hauling heavy loads was over at age 41.
