decided to go with the blackbird double 1.1 with the whoopie lines, seemed a little more secure to me...idk peace of mind I guess. Went with a super fly tarp. Went on dutch ware and got the other odds and ends for the tarp. Really appreciate the help guy!
Had a buddy that did the spring bear hunt and they had a blacktail tag. He said what they dont say is that the brush and everything is so thick they didnt have enough time between tides to do any actual hunting. None of the 5 people that went out saw anything. keep in mind this is only a single...
I had a clip sewn in at the top in the bag, and hang it from there. works great. also you can put it in the load shelf. thats what alot of people seem to do.
I had the x2 last year for elk and mule deer out here in utah. upgraded to a SG sky archer 6200 about 3 months ago. its night and day difference. Ive been on quite a few 10 mile hikes with 50lbs with zero shoulder or neck pain. I was amazed! Great choice!
-I went from eberlestock x2 and upgraded immensely to the SG sky archer. Ive done multiple hikes with 75-100 lbs of sand and there have been to issues with the load faling to the bottom. And even with all the weight the frame flexes enough to shoot my bow comfortably.
I got rid of my x2 and dropped the cash for a SG sky archer. Well worth the money. I put a 50lb sandbag in and walked/hiked for about 50 miles so far. No shoulder problems, it feels like the weight is distributed all over the torso and not only the shoulder. And the x2 was way short on me.
I got a SG sky archer 6200. Love it, and as mentioned before packs down very tight to the back. I also like the way the frame flexes as you move with your back and when you draw a bow.
I just purchased the SG sky archer 6200 and goes down super small, the compression system is awesome and with the 3piece belt and lumbar pad fits amazingly. I've put about 50miles on it with 40-75 lbs no problem. Accidently kicked it off very steep area and it was still good as new! IMHO worth...
