Does anyone know the magazine COAL for the 243? The High Country has a 1:7.5 twist which is nice, but without knowing the internal box length, I don’t know if heavy for caliber match bullets can be used without too much case intrusion.
I have a 25x6.8, also sometimes called a 25 SPC. It’s a 6.8 SPC necked 257 cal. I titled the post as I did because it replicates 250 savage ballistics… as well as its limitations.
I have killed a mtn lion and some javelina with it using the Nosler 85gr Ballistic Tip at 3k muzzle. Those shots...
About 20 years ago I hurt my back and was having serious problems. Surgeon wanted to do surgery… when you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail….
I knew even back then (young and dumb) surgery would be a bad decision. So instead, I got into shape.

Yes. Once you start loading for one caliber, you’ll load for another. With the T7, like I mentioned you can have multiple caliber die sets set up. I loaded today in between work stuff. On that turret:
30-06 sizing die, seating die and FCD crimp die
6.8 sizing die, seating die, FCD crimp

I have been loading for over 20 years and have helped numerous friends get set up. Get this list and it will make life so much easier and make reloading more fun.
Redding T7: you can have multiple calibers set up without needing to change dies around. Later you can get multiple turrets full of...
I have a Tupperware full of the them from many different makers. The only real application in my experience is range use:
1) Doing AR classes and running the gun hard, then doing transitions to pistol to prevent pant/leg burn
2) bench shooting precision for mirage
I have learned from use...
