I got the 50... past injuries limit my ability to haul truly heavy loads so I stayed on the smaller side. I have been using a popup 38 and wanted a bit more space and load control.
I snagged one and am pleased with the layout. So far, it has only seen treadmill duty with weights strapped into the loadshelf but it carries really well. The hipbelt is really comfortable and it is noticeable how the shelf keeps the weighted load higher on the pack. Not much of a way for me...
I have a great condition Mathews V3X 29 in the Stika Optifade Elevate II camo finish. Is currently sporting 70# 85% letoff D switch weight modules for a 28.5 draw length.
Looking to get $750 shipped in the lower 48
*I also have the E modules if you prefer for a 28” draw.
I just wish I could still shoot my longbow… used to shoot and ton and anything under 40 yards was easy but due to my neck injuries I am forced to shoot compound. I would argue that the real ethical issue is proficiency rather than the weapon that is chosen.
I haven’t shot the 6 arc but have setup a number of 6.5Grendels and love them. Just a dead nuts simple caliber to get to function flawlessly in an AR platform. My longest kill is admittedly 198yds with mine but it has performed exceptionally with factory Hornady loads. It is also a great fun...
18" 6.5 Grendel... have killed a dozen or so deer with it myself and taken kids hunting with it to account for another dozen or so. Weighs 7# 5oz wearing a Trijicon Ascent scope.
Largest buck taken with the Grendel at 196yds… lurched about 20 feet and down.
I actually just added 4oz to my howa superlite. Stockys came out with their VG2 stock for the rifle and I snagged one Black Friday. A tad bit heavier but loving the profile so far.
I picked up an ultralite in 6.5PRC this year and my friend got one in 7prc. We both threw them in Stocky's carbon fiber stocks and they are absolute tack drivers... not a single feed issue and both shoot sub .75 with all the factory ammo we have tried.
