    .280 AI Powders

Good to know, thanks. I’ve thought about trying to get some N555, but doubt it will do anything more than R16.

    .280 AI Powders

This is exactly what I was looking for. I too am happy with R23 and don’t really have a problem to solve. Just wondering about alternatives for R26 for speeding up heavies. Curious if you have ran a chronograph to know the velocity difference between the R23 and 7828? Or 7828 to R26? Thanks.

    .280 AI Powders

Nice. It definitely likes the LRXs. I do love that garmin. My F2 Chrony died completely right before they came out. Was waffling on spending the jack for a Labradar and Garmin coaxed me in. Thanks.

    .280 AI Powders

You know, that’s a good point. It’s good and I’ve used it but not in AI. Main complaint with that powder is it’s pretty sensitive compared to H-extreme powders or R16 or R23. I shoot in stuff from very cold hunting temps to 80s with that gun. Anyway, thanks.

    .280 AI Powders

Like almost everyone that reloads, I have been waiting for a couple years for R26. Probably not going to happen any time soon, so curious if there is a go-to that’s a close second? I have H4831 and R23 and both shoot well for me with several bullets. However, I’m looking for the max juice for an...

    172 absolute hammers 280ai

Curious, when you say 50/50 do you mean good hit, but no recovery? Or just less than stellar response to being hit, but still dead animal?

    172 absolute hammers 280ai

As stated by a couple, 172 monos are too heavy for the .280 AI. In my opinion, it’s 140s for .280, 155 for 7 RM/PRC, and 172 for 28 Nosler. We’ll see about terminal performance, but so far they are sure forgiving. Just worked up 140 gr Absolute Hammers for a 24” .280 AI w/ 8.4 twist. Reloder 16...

Trijicon Tenmile 3-18i or Burris XTR IIIi 3-18

No kidding! When I saw ~$1,050 I had to go back and forth trying to make sure I wasn't missing something. I looked pretty hard and found sub-$1,400, but nothing close to this price. Glad I brought it up!

Trijicon Tenmile 3-18i or Burris XTR IIIi 3-18

I have read that the illuminated version of the XTR has a bit heavier reticle, but sounds like there is no contest here. Glad I made the right call. Thanks.

Form, thanks again for sharing your findings in that long write-up, as well aa answering my message. Appreciate it. Also, I hate Askholes so I won’t be one. Lol! There’s a Tenmile coming my way now. Thank you!!!

The second paragraph helps a bunch, so thank you.

Trijicon Tenmile 3-18i or Burris XTR IIIi 3-18

Got it. Really appreciate the info. I’m not expecting anyone to have comparable data, but there are guys on here that hunt hard and use their gear a lot, so just looking for consistent themes at this point. I’d just pull the trigger on the Tenmile, but slightly prefer XTR III specs/features...

Trijicon Tenmile 3-18i or Burris XTR IIIi 3-18

Intended use: Hunting first, but want to learn/practice/train enough to play around with PRS/NRL Hunter just to build skill. Will go on a 6.5 Creedmoor and possibly my .280 AI. Target weight will be 10-12#, depending on which rig. I’ve spent quite a bit of time reading threads on optics in this...
