Tyvek as a tent footprint
I have used a Tyvek footprint under my 4-man tent for about 7-8 years. It is not fraying/tearing at the edges at all. For comfort and durability I don't think you can beat an Exped - I have had my Synmat7 for over 15 years - sent it back once for a leak I couldn't find, and Exped sent me a new one. Yes, agree. The elastic latch system on the Vortex harness is hot garbage. I have had snow-covered binos more than once because they fell out while I was kneeling/bending. I should have purchased a different harness years ago. I am looking at getting a new one for next season. Spendy suckers. -
