I have the SH double pin, and I love it. I like the look of a vertical pin, and the double pin gives me an excellent option for taking a longer shot without adjusting the dial.
It may be hard to find; I don't know. But have you thought about a Ruger Hawkeye in a 338 RCM? They are CRF and are a perfect cartridge for a short 20-inch barrel. I like a short barrel in the woods, so I guess it depends on the terrain you are hunting.
I have several Kimber 1911’s, and I have never had a problem with one. I also have one in 10mm, it's a stainless target II, and it's a very accurate and reliable gun.
I have never seen a Ruger American that wasn't a tack driver. They are cheaper than the Tikka and made here in the USA as well.
I know I am in the Rokslide minority, but I am just not a big fan of the Tikka; give me the Ruger all day every day over the Tikka. However, to each their own.
