I have a Tikka t3x in 6.5 creedmoor that is really accurate shooting off front/back bags. I mainly whitetail hunt out of a treestand, so a bipod isn't necessary. But I was thinking it may be nice to toss a bipod on for practice or if I sit in a permanent box blind where I could use one. But do...
I have an accupoint and an shv. I like both, but I think I would honestly be worried about getting scoped with an shv on a light weight 30/06. The eye relief is just kind of short. I wouldn't want to have to put my eye any closer on my .308. the accupoint is really nice, optically I think it's...
You both probably have more experience than I do. I have just found federal blue box and core lokts to be no better than 1.5" ammo out of my Ruger American, Smith Wesson mp10, Browning x bolt, and Tikka t3x. Hornady precision hunter has shot an inch or better in all of these guns. But again my...
IMO that's crap ammo. I have limited experience but every one of my guns and my hunting buddies guns wouldn't shoot that ammo any better than 1.5". Try some Hornady match or precision hunter.
I find it very interesting you said that. I have a .308 that used to shoot that exact round very well. The 2 boxes I bought during the COVID era shot awful.
And unfortunately silencer shop doesn't have their crap together. Their software for finalizing individual form 4s is down. It's taking weeks to even get your form 4 submitted to the ATF. The ATF is not the issue anymore.
A $15 trigger spring from MCarbo turns it into one of the best triggers on the market. I think that's why the xbolt is so underrated. It has an awful trigger out of the box. But dropping one of those springs in it turns it into a thing of beauty. And to be honest my Tikka trigger had more creep...
Handle a t3x and a Browning x bolt before buying. IMO an x bolt is every bit as good as a T3x in factory form. Lot of people on here agree too. But on the other hand I like my T3x equally well. The only problem I have with my t3x is the action is so smooth that every time I don't believe it...
My t1x sometimes wont grab an unspent round out of the chamber. The only way I can find to get it out is to fire the round, and then it'll grab the spent shell. That's annoying.
I don't think my shv is as good as my vx3, but it's more than good enough to kill past legal hours. My trijicon accupoint is amazing to look through. But to be honest I think the only scope I've ever looked through that wouldn't make it to last shooting light was a center point. Glass clarity...
I just finished setting up my Tikka t1x .22. does anyone have any suppressor recommendations that aren't overly expensive? Main use is pest control out of my back window, 50ish yard shots. Also here's a shot of my new gun, really loving KRG bravo stock. It's wearing a vortex 4-16 x 44 which is...
Reading a thread on here, I decided to try to disassemble my t3x bolt to clean it before shooting. I think what happened is it's a left hand bolt so I may have twisted the black cap the wrong way? Anyways now I cant figure out what to do. It seems to be stuck where it's at. Any ideas ?
Exactly. And then add in the left hand filter (for me unfortunately) and your choice is made for you. Not that I'm complaining, my Tikka does everything I need it to.
