Had the kilo 3k binos for a couple years.
Upgraded recently to Leica 3200.com's
I have never owned a standalone rf for rifle hunting. I see no reason to ever do so
I can't find a detailed reticle drawing for either one. But based on the online images of them, the TS12's "thicker" outside stadia are only half as thick as Maven's. Having looked through both, this seems about right
TS12 approx 0.2 MIL thick
Maven's approx 0.4 MIL thick
I was the former owner of that USO TS12 that sold, & would like to say that it is not an impressive scope at all
Optically below average. Fisheyes at max magnification
Reticle is extremely thin. Ultimately is why I sold it. Hardly visible below 6x, let alone usable
It is the purest form of a...
Tenmile tyd for sold
Insurance on buyer if desired
Bought new last year, mounted, dropped on a mat (passed of course), and shot ~300 rounds
Functions as new. Glass as new. With the tenebrex caps, sunshade, etc in the box
Paypal friends and family, venmo, check, MO, etc. will ship swiftly...
You lack the sample size and scientific method to conclude it is better
I do not dismiss your 30 gorillion rounds a year. But it is not the same as, for example, two batches of 10,000 assemblies all undergoing cyclic load
I'm willing to believe that paint/polish can/will work just as good, 95%...
That 9-13 is my go-to harris for general purpose prone. It is often too short in tall grass, but even if it was taller, the rear bag needs to be pretty large to be usable at that point.
Can always get shooting sticks, tripod, or shoot off pack for taller shots.
6-9" version is too short for...
I recommend using whatever prone setup you will actually use in the field
For me that is bipod and rear bag
For some that is pack/front bag and rear bag
I don't really have anything else to say other than what I have already. You are blowing a fairly minor disagreement over wording way out of proportion
I echo @realunlucky 's reply here
To clarify, the word "better" is all I take exception to. I don't doubt paint/polish works in the application. People have been using nail polish for decades as a threadlocker.
I just don't see three cases of finding liquid loctite as unquestionable proof...
This could be true. After all, Loctite doesn't even recommended 243 for screws smaller than 1/4" (likely just because it is stronger than needed for the low torque application)
However, I would wager if you put 10,000 assemblies together with random paint/polish products and 10,000 assemblies...
It is worth noting that loctite klean n prime is just
70% acetone (solvent/degreaser)
15% butane (aerosol)
15% propane (aerosol)
And <1% drying agent
Any of the threadlockers mentioned in this thread would benefit from its use. But any degreaser product at all will act virtually identical to...
Does a 30 cal bullet fall through the brake?
BEAST brakes come with any bore diameter you want. Double check that you don't have a 6mm brake before chasing any tails
