Wow, I got a lot to chew on here. Thanks all for the input, I really appreciate everyone's time they took to comment. Sounds like the best thing for me is to spend that little extra and get the Tikka T3x and spend a little less on the scope, maybe a used one. I am planning on trying out...

Budget Rifle setup

I am new to hunting and looking to buy my first rifle. Any suggestions on good rifle and scope I can get for around $500 each? I'm looking at hunting whitetail, mule deer, and possibly elk. Thanks in advance.

What do you do with your venison?

I've never done it in an instant pot, hows the consistency of it after its done? does it shred nicely? With the steaks, I usually sear them in the EVOO on a cast iron skillet and butter baste with garlic. Turns out pretty tasty.

Great review, this definitely sells me on the RF binos. But 3400 is a steep price. Are there any RF Binos cheaper that you would also recommend? I’m just starting out and looking to get the most out of my gear without breaking the bank.
