Haven't been successful the past few years out there but I feel like I learn more in a day of hunting coues than I learn hunting anything else for an entire season.
I'm holding out for early season archery, there are sure easier draw areas. Late season archery is less competitive I know but also much less successful.
Elk... Maybe next year. Can always go up to Colorado for elk. Terrain out there is always a challenge. Spent a season or 2 out there not seeing anything at all...

Im taking my son will be 15 to go on a caribou float trip next year. Wondering suggestions on caliber of rifle to use. I was planning on taking my bow but I wanted to get something for him that didn't have a lot of recoil but gets the job done. Suggestions?
Haven't used the Rapace yet in the field but they have felt comfortable breaking them in. Fit true to size 12.5 in my Reebok and 12.5 feels great with these so far.
