I may have to give them a call. I have a 6.5-300 Ultralite that weighs in at 8.5lbs with scope but the stock weighs in at 36 ounces. If I can get a sub 25 ounce stock maybe I can get it down to about 7 3/4 lbs. McMillan Carbon Edge series are around 25 ounces -

Real good job.....repair and paint came out very nice. Really impressed with the paint job. I’ve seen that webbing style paint on factory stocks but never on a DYI paint job. Would you mind explaining how you do the webbing? -

It sounds like from what you are describing, this crack hasn’t weakened the stock very much and could probably be repaired as AK Troutbum and realunlucky have described. Or you could use a more liquid epoxy like standard Acraglas 2 part or a similar 2 part liquid epoxy that can be purchased at... -

Odd place for a crack......any pictures available after the metal work is removed to see the Direction and how far it travels on the Inside. I’m sure it can be repaired. You may want to try the Acraglass liquid or something like Devcon that has a better bonding/adherence strength. Never had... -

Thoughts on a 25-06 for sheep/mountain rifle?

No problem with getting them to stabilize, but because of the very rounded ogive they need to be deeply seated into the case.....lots of case capacity lost -

My COAL with the 160 AB is 3.330. I think I just got lucky with the seating depth on these....it appears the Kimber has a very short throat. I was having to seat the Hammers very deep into the case to give enough clearance for the lands. So the longer Ogive on the AB’s was a plus to get some... -

Thanks for the compliments. I have a 280 Rem as well in a Rem 700 but wanted to shed some weight. Interesting on the 140gr Accubond on Grizzly.....I guess I underestimated the ability of a 140 grain bullet to exit a broad side shot on a Grizzly. Good job! Love the AI.....giving me 7 Mag... -

anyone still use a beam scale?
I still exclusively use my old AMT Autoscale(about 25 years old); best of both worlds. A beam scale with an auto powder measure/trickler. Have purchased and used digital scales but too much variation and uncertainty in them. I still have my original Redding beam scale from the early 70’s as well
