Just read this whole thread and just wow. The update is as absurd as the aliens. How frustrating.

    Arrow finish

I just wipe. I looked at making the tubes to dip and all that jazz but ultimately just wanted to make some wood arrows and start shooting. So i just wiped on some stain and poly and was happy with the results. And I agree with you, when you buy the carbon wood look arrows they are printed to...

    Arrow finish

I've always just used 2 or 3 coats of poly after staining and call it good. Never had an issue. I make my arrows for practice and hunting, no reason to make love to them. But there certainly are some good looking woodies out there guys spend lots of time on and I appreciate their effort and...

What sidearm do you carry in lower 48 grizz country ??

psa dagger 9mm. used to haul a ruger super redhawk around but figure more, and more accurate rounds were the better option for me.

    Bows "losing zero" ?

scratching in or marking with a sharpie the locations of moving parts is always a good idea. I also put a rubber washer between my bow and sight plate, a bike inner tube works great. the rubber seems to help absorb a little of the bumps that happen, or atleast it feels like a good idea in my mind.

Looking for Lighweight Dorado or Gamemaster 2 Limbs

I recently needed lighter limbs for my dorado and the bushing swap was simple and cheap. Some 3/8 od 1/4 id supply line like for a refrigerator and some 3/8 plastic caps is all you need. Cost me about $2.50 and maybe took 10 minutes.

    Alaskan fng

I agree the haul road is a fun trip, just seems that early Aug when we have time to go there aren't many animals around. My main goal is to keep my daughter interested and enjoying the experience. While I enjoy the 15 hour drive and just being out, a change might be needed, taking a little...

Going to kodiak nov 9-12 for deer off the road and never been, so just trying to figure out if there's much I am not thinking about or considering. Mainly scouting it to see if taking my daughter there next year is a better option than the haul road hunt.
