    Stoves: SO vs Argali

same as above, really enjoy my lite outdoors stove. you can position the two top rods to hold a coffee cup or a pan to heat something up. Haven't used any other brands but don't see the need to try. I did try adding the baffle they offer and that was a nightmare, but otherwise happy with it.

    Fees and Taxes

We don't have plastic bags at our grocery stores here in Alaska. It's terrible, don't come.

    Portable Camp Stoves at Lowes

I bought one of those cheap stoves and had to burn off all the paint and such to make it safe. Wasn't worth the effort and time but who knows, maybe these are better quality.

    Trespassing? Worth shooting a snowboarder?

i skied brighton a few weeks ago with my daughter and we came upon a few cabins in the woods that was kinda sketchy but was within the resort area. The snowboarder knew he was trespassing, the old man maybe shouldn't be out with a shotgun but I certainly understand his frustration. If the...

Are the any Ski Areas left out West that havent been ruined?

Alaska has the same problems as anywhere else. The town of girdwood is not affordable for most and those that live there have their pie and don't want any development to happen. I think i paid 17.00 for a twix bar and a lemonade last year. Could definitely be worse though, parking is still free.

    Galaxy Ember?

I'd get a black hunter off amazon for under 100.and see if you enjoy it. There are limbs readily available to increase draw weight so you don't overbow yourself right from the start, plus it's nice later to have some lighter weight limbs for rabbit hunting and such.

How often do you find unrecovered animals?

I find animals all the time...mine, yours, doesn't matter just gotta outrun the girls. Pro tip, push them to keep em bleeding, bonus if you shoot them in the leg it slows them down. ~AVB but friends call me leg reaper.

    Schnee's Beartooth

Ugh...just ordered some 14s and wasn't sure if wide or medium was the right call. The 200g are on sale so I'm guessing I'll be double screwed since i got the 14s in a regular. Guess I'll find out in a few days when they arrive. Allegedly the returns for different sizes is a simple process but...

12 Gauge vs 20 Gauge for bird hunting

I have my 870 12g from when I was 12. Those guns can take a beating. I reach for my 870 20g though almost every time. I can share shells with my daughter or wife, and conversely don't usually have to share with buddies.

What I learned my first Kodiak blacktail hunt

Google earth appears to have updated images, atleast for the area I am heading to tomorrow. Definitely different than they were about a week ago for me atleast.

    Lite outdoors stove hacks

Seeing this pop back up I'd just like to claim my seat on the anti baffle train. Wasn't hard to install but did nothing positive for me, could be user error, after using ut both ways, no baffle.

    Hunting outerwear vs ski wear

Lots of good soft shell stuff out there that will cross over well. Most of the ski stuff I own is far superior to the hunting stuff for cold weather.
