Blue suit, brown cowboy boots (fancy lookin’ kind), brown belt to match. White undershirt + seasonal colored tie. Example: it's nearly fall, I'd personally rock a wool tie in a subtle plaid pattern.
Welp, cam was bent. No time to fix. I bought a Bear Adapt as it was honestly the most economical choice. Switched all the accessories over - shooting great. I’ll be ordering a new cam but this is now by now for next month.
I have a doozie... I leave September 10 for a limited entry archery elk hunt. I was shooting last night at 35-45 yards and moving around after every shot to shoot between pins, range, etc. I somehow forgot to nock an arrow on shot 4 of a around and dry fired by bow... never have I ever done...
First timer, headed out with my dad and some good buddies. I finally heard enough of my my dad’s stories that I decided it was time to start experiencing it myself! School and work timeliness always held me back but finally at 31 I have my work and family life set up to allow me to do this. Good...
As most have said, I listen when I’m commuting, sometimes working in the woodshop, and sometimes while rucking or doing steady state cardio. I enjoy learning about science so tune into The Drive and Huberman Lab. I listen Rogan when he has on interesting (to me) guests). Hunting wise I don’t...
I would take advantage of the current First Lite sale. First Lite's merino is pretty solid it's 30-40% right now. I have the Catalyst jacket and it is just ok. I don't find it to be exceptionally warm.
A lot folks are selling their Solitude set ups right now because of the new FL whitetail...
Thanks again, everyone. I did get a 20 degree bag on sale. A very nice quilt or bag is at the top of my off season wish list. Looking at Katabatic, Enlightened Equipment, Stone Glacier, etc. I’m a big guy (6-3 240ish) so thinking I’d enjoy a quilt.
Very basic understanding to be honest. I don’t have a ton of experience camping like this below 25 degrees. I will have my puffy layer as a last resort.
I will be spending at least 5-6 nights at 9500-11000 feet between September 12 and 22 in Colorado. My dad and I will be cowboy camping in bivys and have a DST tarp if we experience weather.
My system:
Thermarest NeoAir Xlite NXT
Katabaric Pinon bivy
Kelty cosmic 40 degree bag 20 degree bag...
I've grown to really like Moutain Tough programming. On the pre season prep right now. Looking forward to a long fall/winter of strength training with their post season stuff.
