You won’t come close to 2900 with imr4831 in a 20” I don’t think. <2700 ish. Sell a kidney and pick up some Reloader 26 or RL23 has been coming back around lately.
The first one has seen a lot of time in the field and it’s treated about like any other normal hunting rifle. It’s strapped to packs, doesn’t get cased in the back seat etc. Normal hunting use. That’s the second barrel on that rifle and the one on it now has about 300 rounds left before it’s...
I sold the worst scratched one I had to a buddy but it’s still in action and getting more scratches every fall. This is a standard matte finish on this one that I still have. You can see the scratches aren’t deep enough to actually get into the fiber.
This one is pretty new I just hunted with...
Man it would have to be a deep gouge to get worse over time I would think. If you’re scratching them deep enough to fracture the carbon that’s outright abuse. I’ll try to get a few pics
They are plenty durable. I don’t baby my guns and I have Manners that are 8 years old and perfectly fine. You can scratch them just like any other stock if you drag them thru the rocks?
As thrilling as being gone for 3 days out of town to eat a farm raised bison’s testicles and tail is I’ll pass. There are a bunch of things I would rather do, like mow my lawn and clean out my garage.
Left hand, short action bedded for a bighorn TL3. M5 bottom inlet, proof sendero barrel inlet. 2 flush cups right side, area 419 arca rail on the forend. 28.5 oz as it sits with the arca rail. Sponge paint job (worth at least double the asking price but I'll throw it in free!) 400.00 shipped...
Doing some gun room cleaning. Four factory 6 rounders and a Waters 2.6 length 10 rounder. The waters doesn’t feed factory length ammo very well but works good if you are loading long. How about 150.00 shipped for all 5.
Max of 800? Those are rookie numbers your gonna need to pump those up. He’s good to a grand easy with his phone app and some inputs that are questionable to say the least. He’s also a member of every forum and his rifle shoots a easy .25 moa (if he does his part). His dope is well verified by...
The MKV Is truly the ultimate Fud elk rifle. Preferable chambered at a minimum in 300 wby, bonus points if it’s in 340 wby or 378. There is just something about that stock with its 17 coats of high gloss and that Monte Carlo design that threatens to dislodge teeth when fired while also being...
Less mature bucks on the landscape is the goal of CPW, and they are no doubt accomplishing it. The somewhat good news is there seems to be plenty of young bucks and a few (very few) will manage to slip thru the cracks and become mature bucks.
The doe killing is totally insane and one thing that...
He could build points for 15 more years and he’s not catching the top end. I wouldn’t even be sure a guy with 7 could catch any Bighorn unit he wanted in the next decade in the regular.
Selling a Lefty T6A with LOP spacer kit and 3 spacers. GAP camo, two flush cups right side, bedded for a SA Ruckus. M5 inlet. Barrel channel is Bartlein m40. Weights 51.5 ounces. Great shape, I can’t find any marks anywhere on it but I’m sure if you get it in the right light outside you could...
US869 is temp sensitive enough I won’t mess with it but it does give good velocity. It can get a little squirrelly if you’re loading near the top and shooting in warm temps.
If it groups good with that 84.3 I don’t know how keen I would be on pushing much higher with the velocity it’s giving...
In a cartridge with that much capacity doing .1 grain changes is pointless. IMO there isn’t really any meaningful data really there so I wouldn’t overthink it. If you load that 84.3 it’s not going to have a ES of 2 fps again, when on both sides with only a .1 grain difference there is 11 and 20...
Things have been weird this year. I spent about 20 days in the high country in a couple units scouting/hunting deer. Which normally means a guy is tripping over elk the entire time but I really wasn’t this year. Spots that you can normally glass 50+ elk off of pre-season had 4-8 elk in them...
