I've been happy with the Cabela's Badlands Binoculars Case in Outfitter Camo. It is a little smaller than the standard Badlands case and is a good, snug fit for my Swaro 8x32s.
I went back and checked my notes from conversations I've had with Western Mountaineering and this is what they have told me about the down overfill option: There will be less down shifting. There is a small temperature rating improvement. There is a small loft improvement. There is a small...
As far as the overfill - I have read what others here just said about it adding more warmth to the bag. I have also read that it will extend the life of the bag; more down that will hold the loft for extra years. I would consider that if I was planning to still be using the bag in 20-30 years.
I was going to chime in on this, but you and dble07 hit the key points. It's just a matter of what your priorities are. Hunting a property with good bucks and one that is close enough to hunt often are most important to me.
My Pelican 1750 has been very good for transporting 2 rifles via commercial airlines; no problems at all. I don't know if they make a case size that will fit your needs. You could check product dimensions on their website.
I've been using these two for shelters with good success:
