    Making 7mm-08 brass

I have shot both and there is no difference besides the .308 brass being .015 shorter.

    Making 7mm-08 brass

Shortly after starting this thread, I bought some Lapua .308 and sized them, then found some 7mm-08 Lapua. Got plenty of brass now

    300 Ultra Mag

I load for three 300RUMs and they all shoot around .5moa with Norma brass, 200gr AB, Hefty charges of Retumbo, and a fed 215M. I’ve tried RL-25, Ramshot Magnum, IMR 7828ssc, and H-1000, Retumbo was the best by far in our Fierce’s and Sako. Personally, I would lean toward the LRX if I had to pick...

Switching from Fed 210’s to 215M’s surprisingly tightened up groups in my daughter’s Tikka 7mm-08, with 140gr AB’s and a max load Big Game

    1x Muzzy Scopes

There’s a proposal in WA to allow fixed 1x power scopes on muzzleloaders. We should know by 4/9 whether it’s adopted or not.

    1x Muzzy Scopes

I hope it doesn’t pass, but if it does, I’ll probably go with a nice red dot. Optics Planet has the T/C fixed 1x in stock still but from the reviews I’ve read, it sounds like a cheap pile of ish.

    New Elk Gun

From what I’ve seen in the field, 300-500ish yds is the Creedmoor’s wheelhouse with the 143gr eld-x. I’ve seen them basically blow up and have very little penetration within 100yds and create impressive, devastating wound channels beyond 400yds. Like others have said, bullet selection and shot...

    Making 7mm-08 brass

I saw that and got excited, knowing how good their pistol brass is, then I read reviews on their rifle brass. It seems to be middle of the road, according to quite a few reviews.

    Making 7mm-08 brass

I was thinking about going that route, especially since 308 is pretty much the cheapest, as well.

    Making 7mm-08 brass

Since I can’t find any quality 7mm-08 brass, would you guys size up from 260 or down from 308? I will be using either Lapua or Peterson and it’s a factory TIkka rifle. thanks

    YOUR success rate on elk.

In 8 years of hunting elk in western WA, I’ve killed: Musket - 2 bulls/1 cow Rifle - 1 bull The years I didn’t kill one, I either missed, had a misfire, or had my buddy shoot because he only had a couple days of our week long season off. I have a real love/hate relationship with my...
