Will be running some starting loads today with 69 tmk and varget to start off. Range brass cleaned, separated, ran full length (not small base).
16" 1:8 twist barrel will start at 23.5 and work up to 25.5 to see what the gun says.
Under 100 rounds you gotta see what it will fo and play with it, if you don't like it at 200 or 250 rounds sell barrel dies and all related to that chamber together, someone will buy it
I did 2 steps with redding s type FL bushing dies
7.5 twist
Lots of reports on past a tips do some looking around on them.
I think this round could be a good contender at an nrl hunter type shoot
No, I have compared it to a 260ai with 140 bergers at 2835fps and I feel it has slightly less recoil and better sound out of that ultra 7. The 260ai is a 25" barrel.
I havent had 6.5 prc and 7prc versions, but had 25 saum and now 7prc version.
I have noticed with the 7prc version 22" barrel and n570 that I was more easily able to get the higher velocities that I hoped for(3200 goal). I was able to get a load fairly easily and it has been accurate and easy...
Went to a charity shoot up there I think 2017 or so. Lots of room for shooing events. Seen a wolf on the way out there, they also had a griz trying to kill a black bear on the range the day before while they were setting up.
I would hope that they are holding off on the 6 and 3-9 till backorder are filled and warranty replacements can be as well before they let them loose to the masses. I was just waiting to replace my 3-15.
Using the same can( tbac 7 ultra) I feel like the recoil is less than my 25" 260ai with 140's going 2835fps. As well as the sound to me seems less loud even with 25 ish more grains powder.
Early on I was shooting it with no can and it was fine. If you put then side by side I don't know if you...
