Great, Good luck on your trip. My last Alaska hunt was 2009 hunting caribou in ANWR! I had a 20 Golite bag and got COLD. I upgraded recently to a Marmot Lithium 0 bag that will try out later this year but am interested in the 20 Slickbag for earlier in the year. Good luck and hope the tags...
The Stoic are long down the legs as well. I do like the fit of the Icebreaker Beast better. I think the Stoic were 25 was why i wanted to try them. Seams i don't feel will be an issure but more of a fit issue with longer inseam
which slickbag did you get? I'm looking at those so if you don't mind, let me know what you think of it especially when you get some use with it. THanks
I am looking at adding a grab it and a top zip pocket soon to the DT3. The grab it is only 4 oz and the KU top zip is 4.5 oz. The light pockets (single 500 Cordura) for a top zip come in at 9 oz i believe.
Anyone that has experience with the KU long pocket on a regular pack see a problem other...
I like Danner boots but make sure they have the Made is USA flag! The ones from CHina are CRAP and lining rip and leak! Somebody help me but didn't Lacrosse which i thought was part of Danner just get bought by a Japanese company?
I know you can attach the dock and lock system to the top but how do the 3 bard slider as in the possibles/orbelt pouches attach to the top of a standard lid?
I just attach the top to 3 bar sliders to the PAL on the waistbelt of my DT3 and don't worry about the bottom sliders. I only attach those if it is on the side of the bag as i do my medium pouch. I have a small belt since recommended it might fit better when i cinch things down. I'm 6'2" 195...
I've used those rafts from Larry Bartlett on my caribou float hunt in ANWR i did with my brother a couple years back....float drag you animal down in some parts right :)
Becca, whats the cost on those (soaps) from walmart? I've tried these in the past not sure what others have used but sea to summit have just about any kind of body/hand/laundry soap in the sheet format for $4.

no real info but you are right they look interesting.. I live where they are made so i might try to stop by the shop and take a look. If/when i do i'll let ya know.
Wondering if anyone has used one before? I can get one half price for $38 and am thinking about trying it. Any experience by anyone?
Mathews Express Stove Ti w/Piezo Ignition
I wish they state what insulation they use but i'm guessing since its recycled that explains it! I little lighter(60g) than my spindrift (80g). If i did't have the spindrift i would look into more. Thanks though
Becca: do you have the down sweater vest or regular vest? i'm wondering who much...
Was using smart wool and found some good deal on Darn Tough and now the only ones i'll buy. They stayed true to shape and comfort...and warranty is great!
Anyone seen the latest catalog from eddie bauer? The ascent down jackets and vests are like 50% off? Jacket for 99 and vest for like 60? 800 down fill? anyone tried or used one of these recently?
I was thinking of picking up a vest or down sweater for that price?
I had a pair of Icebreaker merino wool that were great till my dog got ahold of them....I wanted to try the first lite ones but for $60 a little too steap when i just picked up a merino stoic pair and a icebreaker pair for a total of $55 on backcounty.
