I shot the 200 grn Jaggers last year. Arrow flight with their field tips and broadheads was great AFTER I super tuned my bow. Was iffy before hand. Penetration is great. I'm shooting around 262fps with a 485grn total arrow. I missed a target at a shoot and blew thru the steel powder river gate...
I have a pair of Guides and Summits. I haven't have had a wet sock yet. My summits are amazing the hell out of me. I've been pushing them for 9+ hours in rain and sloppy snow fully expecting a wet spot thru the cordura and haven't yet. Probably be going to the guides next week though.

1. Gotta be waterproof!
2. Gotta be full leather for durability. I have cordura uppers and like them, but they definitely show rock abrasions.
3. Not super light but not a full leg workout either.
4. For me, I gotta be able to get them in a wide. Dang fat feet.

Saw no bear sign at all. Black or grizz. Kinda rare, supposed to be a ton of blacks in there. Only saw four other hunters, but there are a ton of hikers in the Palisades creek trails.

I hunted Mtn Goat 22 days in 2017 last part of September, and most of October. I saw exactly 4 deer, 1 elk, 3 moose, 1 Mountain Lion, and 25ish Mountain Goats. I hunted from Palisades creek to Blowout on the Wyoming border. Every single Ridge line had cat tracks, and I do mean every single Ridge...
I'll be putting one on my saddle. Probably end up making a leather scabbard for it. Be nice for cleaning up a fallen tree or two.

My favorite pants anymore are Fjallraven Vidda pros or Kebs. You can wax them for late season hunts to shield from water and snow, or wash the wax off for earlier season hunting. Double knees, and seat on the Viddas. Adjustable ankles with boot hooks. They are the perfect pants for me.
