    Dogs and Cheat Grass

Yes. It can get in their nostrils and cause infection.

    Dogs and Cheat Grass

What is the hair like the ear canals? Is the cheat getting matted in there and then working down the ear? You could try stuffing cotton down to the ear canal and see if that prevents the injury and infection

    Dogs and Cheat Grass

Honestly I’ve never had an issue with it. What breed of dog? Properly formed and ears that lay well should keep most debris out. One of my dogs I do need to pluck some of the hair out of the ear canal or he gets occasional infections after water work. I hunt cheat grass all the time and...

No. It’s the high velocity regular lead. I’ve shot these in 2 3/4” for years and have great success. It patterns well.

    Scouting summer mountain bucks

It depends on the terrain. Subalpine avalanche chutes and alder thickets are usually a buck magnet in early August.

    Off season for the dogs

We trained independent forest search today. This is one of my favorite subjects to train. It makes such a dependable retriever. I scattered seven pieces of game across a pine thicket, approximately 150-200 yards wide and 75 yards deep. Repeat search commands until all game is delivered to hand...

How does the fit/cut of these compare to Fjallraven? Not sure I dig the baseball pant style fit for hunting.

    Versatile hunting dog?

My drahts will kill a cat in an instant. They will also remain in a down stay while a cat saunters by in front of them. It’s all about training. They don’t get to just chase and or kill when they want.

Without a doubt, one of the finest dogs I’ll ever own.

    BF Goodrich KO2 or KO3

Toyo M55 wear great and suck in snow and ice. Load range E does NOT mean a 3 ply sidewall. Some tires (including KO3) have a three ply sidewall. So do the new Duratrac RT, Cooper ST Maxx, Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT, and Falken Wildpeak AT4. Some load range C tires have a 3 ply sidewall as...
