I second the recommendation of a frame pack. This also should prove helpful for any helpers in retrieving game from the mountain. They’re pretty bullet proof so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about damage or wear either from training.

Any Montana bird hunters on here? How are numbers looking in your areas? I’m in Billings and surrounding areas seem to be rebounding for pheasant, but grouse are still struggling.

I read that as you’re from Laurel, 15 minutes up the road from me, so feel free to disregard. Thanks again for the welcome though!

Good luck, keep us updated on your progress. I’m looking at a surgery on my left shoulder that I have been putting off as well. Very curious to hear how you fare with your recovery.

New from Montana. I’ve been hunting for 25 years, but always learning and growing. One of my favorites things about this sport. Hunt whatever is in season and enjoy the processing and eating just as much. Looking forward to being a part of this group.
Unless you’re just looking for a challenge, or you really want to use that firearm, why limit your range and possible opportunities?

I live in MT and will be bear hunting this year. Would love to know where you’re seeing these bears. Would be happy to help “thing them out”.

How sick is that to have him drop in your lap. I get the excitement, but he should’ve given it a sec before shooting. Can’t argue with the results though.
