    +1 for Smoke Daddy addition. Great option if you want to do any cold smoking. Cold smoked cheese or salmon turn out great.

    How long did you hunt before you went for an elk?

    Been hunting whitetail in Wisconsin for the last 15~20 years. Finally making the jump to elk next fall in Idaho.

    Winter house heat setting?

    In the winter, 69 when people are in the house. Drop it down to 65 when we leave or the smart thermostat (ecobee) doesn’t sense that people are home.

    Bucket of ratchet straps and bungies, tarps, ice scraper, jumper cables, winter hat, gloves, kleenex.

    What do you do for a living?

    Mechanical Engineering Manager. 4 weeks vacation that I have a hard time using every year. Hunts require a little planning since I’m a flat lander (WI)…. but can normally accommodate 1 hunt per year.
