I was considering a hunt in the North Slope area this fall. I would be solo coming from Minnesota. What is your opinion on driving a Ford Escape out there? The fuel savings between that and my Ford F350 diesel is considerable. Being solo, I wouldn't need all the extra cargo space. How are the roads? Do they get slippery? Are they dirt or sharp rock? How are the clearances? I appreciate the response!
