    Which Maven?

Another vote for the 9x B2's. I've been running them since 2016 with no complaints and haven't felt the need to upgrade yet. FOV and low light performance are great. FOV was noticeably better than others in a similar price range when I was shopping around in 2016.

talk to me about fhf bino harness or others

That's good to know, sounds like I'll stick with the FHF. The stretch webbing on the FHF is a favorite for me as I also run my harness really snug to keep it tight and out of the way. I'm surprised this hasn't become a standard with other harness brands.

talk to me about fhf bino harness or others

My FHF Medium harness is one of very few pieces of gear that I haven't thought about upgrading. I switched from an AGC that I constantly had to adjust because the harness would loosen up. I adjust my FHF to fit over layers as needed, but besides that I never have to retighten the straps. For...

What is your biggest public land pet-peeve?

I had something happen in CO for the first time last season, and it happened repeatedly on that same hunt. I try to talk to everyone I see hiking in or out on the same trails, especially if we're both heading into the same area. An hour before daylight, 2 miles in and 1000' vertical from the...

    Treadmills....

I bought a new ProForm Pro 7500 in January 2015 and paid $1350 shipped at the time. It has similar specs to the NordicTrac 1750 mentioned above. 4.0 CHP motor, 15% incline, ifit, some bells and a couple whistles. I haven't had any major issues with my ProForm and would buy it again, but I'd...

Binoculars in a HPG Kit Bag

I ran vortex viper 10x42 HD's for a few years in an HPG kit bag with a small pistol in the pocket closest to my chest and the binos in the other big pocket. Knife, emergency fire kit, first aid, and a few other small items also rode in there. Then I bought some Maven B2's and they still fit...

    15-20 Ford F-150

2019 F-150 XLT FX4 crew cab w/ 6.5' bed and a topper with a bedrug. I've had it just over 2 years now and I haven't had any issues. I've put 25K miles on it so far through 2 hunting seasons and it's been a great rig. That includes a lot of western ND gravel, MT gumbo mud, CO mountain roads, and...

    2021 - Weight Loss/Way in Thread

Down another lb this week and the big lifts keep going up. I'm running 5/3/1 with accessory lifts tailored to my goals, and biking on some of the off days. I'm not religiously tracking everything I eat but overall keeping pretty close tabs on it. If the scale keeps moving I'll keep doing what...

    2021 - Weight Loss/Way in Thread

The scale moved a few lbs since my last weigh-in on the 16th and I finally got back to that happy waist size where my backpack's waist belt doesn't want to slide down every five minutes. I'm guessing a few of you can relate. Certain body shapes (round) just don't work as well with a pack, no...

    2021 - Weight Loss/Way in Thread

Weight is going down pretty slow but I'm also not eating in a massive deficit, trying to dial in the diet to speed that up a bit. My lifts are consistently going up and I'm feeling stronger on the bike during longer rides. I'm now holding a MT general big game combo so the motivation just...

    2021 - Weight Loss/Way in Thread

Off to a slow start, but progress is progress. I've been lifting 3 days a week and trying to get 4-5 hours/week on the bike. I'll be ramping up my time on the bike over the next 9 weeks to prepare for an 80 mile ride at the end of May. Goal weight: 200 lbs by Labor Day weekend. Age: 33...
