Hands down my favorite hunting sock, a bit blown away it's marketed as a 'hunting' sock but really is amazing https://darntough.com/products/unisex-merino-wool-boot-midweight-hunting-socks
Cushion only where it's needed, warm enough when it's cold, not too thick for August with a great tight...
I’ve already rucked with it twice and I like everything about this frame over the duplex lite. The 26 was a big frame, the 25 feels perfect at 5’ 11”. I’m a 32 waist and the small is great. Hiking feels better at 45lbs now and I don’t feel I gave anything up at 105lbs either.
Just because I think the weight weenies are in this thread. The stripped sheep and goat weight of the pack is 5lbs 0.2oz
Pretty sick setup for 80.2oz
What I removed...
- Removed all logos
- Cut down straps to size
- Replaced all zipper pulls and bag cinch with 2.5mm cordage
- Removed key...
Sooo how many of you own the frame and how many are just speculating here?
I've got my new ARK loaded to 105lbs (60lb sandbag + 45lb ruck plate) ... I'm coming from a 26" Duplex Lite and the frame is every bit of a dump truck as the last one.
What pictures do you want to see? I'm 5' 11" 185
Of course once I got my setup I had to weigh it, 25" ARK Frame with Small Belt and the KU4300+Lid is 5lbs 10.5oz or 5.66lbs which is right on the money at 5.65lbs per the site.
Already started surgery on the frame and pack. Need to do some measuring now to figure out where to cut the straps.
What’s your load? I personally have a SA 7 SAUM in a 22” as well but if I had to do it over I’d go medium with 180 ELD-M in 22”. In BC so no suppressors for us.
I’m a big fan of high load lifter height. My Ark/KU combo should get here next week if customs doesn’t hold it.
I’ll load it up with my 60lb ruck plate and all my gear to mimic a normal 100lb pack out.
