I'm to the point, where I have all the guns that I actually need. So any purchases are spur of the moment. Its a lot harder to walk away from something on the counter, than a picture on the screen
I have a ruger .223 that will pierce a primer fairly quick. Step up to a Rem 7-1/2 and I can go quite a bit more.
I had some pretty hot loads of RL22 that sat in a truck, in the sun all day. The entire primer was removed when I shot one of those rounds off that afternoon. Cut up the bolt face...
Had a few nikons and a leupold scope crap out on me. Missed one of the biggest black tails I have ever seen due to that 4x leupold moving.
I also make now make sure to always have an allen that fits the turret set screws on my scope...........
