Day 11 (9th) Woke up and got a fire ripping and had breakfast. Started hiking north into some new country. Very rugid. Cow called in a few small spike bulls while we stopped for a snack. Wyoming Elk 2024

Western plains bow sight
Fan of my CBE Trek Pro 5 pin slider. Dual indicator pin is very nice, I did have to reset my 2nd axis yesterday. Not sure how that got bumped. Very easy to adjust and tinker with. Sight tapes are metal, no messing with tapes. -

Best rechargeable headlamp
PETZL, Swift RL 50% off on Amazon. Petzl AMAZON Definitely a heavier option. Mainly use for waterfowl hunting. Did use for a 5 days last September chasing elk. Battery was at about half. -
Scouting a new area this year?

N. Dakota v S. Dakota v MT bird hunt
I hunted SW North Dakota for a week chasing mule deer. Only saw a couple grouse, no pheasants. Not to many on the SE side either (Besides some private honey holes).
