Eggs are expensive. Have you changed your breakfast because of it? What are you eating?

95% of the eggs we purchase are from our friend's chickens. Typically we get 3-4 dozen every few weeks from them. I eat 2 every morning for breakfast. No change in price or consumption for us as a family.

best general purpose STEEL shot-size for combo of big & small ducks?

I've shot cases upon cases of blue box 2's over the years. Used to be a pretty dirty load, to the point where when the wind was right you'd get residue back in your face as the fired hull ejected out. For the past 5ish years they've had better components and aren't as dirty. Too bad they...

    Best Goose Outfitters - Canada

Figure out your group size, then the dates that work for you, and then start talking to outfitters about what type of hunting to expect during those dates and whether or not they will be on the species you want to hunt on those dates. Any of them will put you on ducks and darks; but you might...

    “Biggest” pheasant load

I shot 39 roosters this fall between SD and MN. Many of the birds I shoot are as a poster/blocker or off to the side of a friend or family member working a dog. (don't currently have my own dog). Until I get my own dog and start getting close opportunities at birds flushing off of a point, I...

Ultra-basic canada goose decoy spread: socks vs sillouettes, etc?

I'm terrible about taking pictures but I'll address your questions as best as I can. Kayak is a beavertail stealth 1200. Probably the most stable unit on the market. I stand it in all the time sight fishing bass, shooting carp, push poling through cattails, etc. Main cons are that it's...

Ultra-basic canada goose decoy spread: socks vs sillouettes, etc?

I run my kayak in sparse/short cover a fair amount. A simple ghilli blanket style cover and laying in my kayak is sufficient in many instances, and if I need to hunt from a mud flat I can use the same cover if I don't want to pack in a layout or the A-frame. I can roll the entire cover up and...
