First hunting rifle, looking for scope advice.
Try and scoop up a used Leupold VX5. Really anything in the VX3 lineup even the previous models are all great scopes. Not sure how much power you need but if you can find old stock nikon monarch golds... they were/are good scopes for the money too. Suspect you could find what was a $500+... -

G5 rock sight help
Hi All, I run an old g5 rock sight. I love the sight but it has been discontinued several years ago. The pins are still bright and I want to continue using it. My issue is the blue colored level...my eyes are getting worse and the blue hue has faded and leaves the level more or less unusable... -

Caliber for Daughter??
A solid 243 with good shot placement will drop any deer or elk out to 300 yards reliably. I think people underestimate the damage a 100 grain soft point can do. Pretty sure a lot of people even take moose with a 243 at closer distances. You might also consider a 257 weatherby or 25-06... -
