On small properties I hunt very conservative. I'm quiet going in and don't move a bunch. You can easily run birds off your property if you are too aggressive.
I sit and wait and if a bird sounds off and is coming my way, I don't even call. It may be boring to some but it works. I have found...
Also don't forget each person has a responsibility to take care of themselves. Helping future generations is a noble thought but part of the reason people are so stupid, lazy and weak now days is because they were pampered and given to much.
Hard work, pain, and suffering builds appreciation...
Two scenarios, which one is right?
1. Guy works hard, lives conservatively. No new trucks or soccer mom vehicles. Lives in a 1,000 sq ft house. No fancy clothes, vacations or constantly eating out. Brown bags his lunch, no Starbucks. Doesn't smoke or drink. Pays cash or does without. Takes care...
If I could find a fair chase situation where success on a 300 bull was the norm, not just a rare occurrence, I'd feel better about paying that kind of money.

They are right in, you can't draw if you don't apply, but most will...
I'm 62 years old. Two time cancer survivor. (Both surgical procedures, no chemo etc.) I worked in a factory and worked a ton of overtime thru the years.
Retired at 59 1/2. No debt, decent sized 401k, drawing Social Security now also. Financial guy says I can live to 85 drawing what I was...
Definitely shows a drop in applicants overall and an encouraging trend to those who want to hunt Montana every year. Stops the insane points build up.
We have drawn deer combo with one point two years in a row. Those with 3 points will be at a multi year low next year. I like it!!
